Hall and Theatre Bookings

Thalian Hall, 64-68 Bridge Road East, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 IJR

Thalian Hall is a theatre and rehearsal space, set in the heart of Welwyn Garden City. As a charity, the Welwyn Thalians can offer use of the hall to any groups or individuals with a connection to the performing arts, education or exercise.

Facilities:

Large floor rehearsal area (vinyl on concrete 11.7m x 12.3m ).
Kitchen with fridge & coffee/tea making facilities.
Gentlemen & Ladies toilets including disabled.
Four dedicated parking spaces in our private car park.
Access to booking calendar to check availability.
We have a curtained stage (5.4m deep by7.7m wide), backstage dressing rooms, light and sound board which are available for hire by negotiation but which are not included in the general hire agreement.

The hall is cleaned twice weekly.

Hire Rates:

Occasional hirers £20.00 per hour.
A 20% discount will be applied to regular hirers or new hirers making ten or more consecutive bookings.
Hire rates will be charged half termly or every six weeks.
New hirers will be asked for a £50 refundable deposit for the hall key on their first booking.
Hire rates will be reviewed annually.
Anyone wishing to hire the stage and backstage facilities or the Clavinova will be charged according to their individual requirements.

The hall is not available for party hire.
